Though an it and computer science degree can both prepare you for jobs in the tech field, they often appeal to different types of people based on the slightly varied skill sets. In my personal experience, along with from what i've observed with friends at my college/similar colleges, you will be fine no matter where you get a degree from, but companies (especially top tech ones) definitely pay more attention to the schools that are known for cs programs. It depends what you want to do.
